Pokemon GO Trading Guide – Friends, Trading and Gifts in Pokemon GO

After being on the market for almost two years now, Pokemon GO is currently a very different beast when compared to the version that launched. But despite all of the new pokemon, updates to the AR tech, and all of the other new bells and whistles, there has been a gaping hole in the game’s features. That hole is trading, a core mechanic in other pokemon games but one that has been completely absent in Pokemon GO so far. That is until Niantic recently announced that it was set to arrive in the game, along with some other new features. In this Pokemon GO Trading Guide, we’ll breakdown the new additions to the game, including the new trading mechanics, friends lists and more.

We’ll be adding to this guide as we get more info on how trading will work in Pokemon GO, so stay tuned for further details. In the meantime, head over to our Pokemon GO Main Guides hub for everything else you need to know about the game.

Pokemon GO Trading Release Date

Niantic recently revealed that they would be adding trading, friends lists and gifting to Pokemon GO. The new update is expected to rollout over the next week or so, as Niantic has stated that Trading will be a huge part of the upcoming Pokemon GO Summer Tour event that begins June 30 in Dortmund, Germany. We don’t have any exact details on when you’ll be able to start trading with your pals, so keep an eye on this space for more news as we get it.
