Pokemon GO Fest Global Challenge Start Date

Now that the Pokemon GO Safari Event in Dortmund is over, it’s time to start looking at Pokemon GO Fest. The event will take place on July 14 and 15, and will bring a host of new challenges, pokemon and rewards to trainers all around the world. There is a list of challenges that trainers must work towards, and if all of them are beaten, a bonus reward will unlock on July 21.

Pokemon GO Fest Global Challenge – Field Research Tasks, Rewards, Bonus Reward

As mentioned previously, trainers will have to work together during Pokemon GO Fest to complete a series of challenges. These challenges are split into four regions: Pokemon GO Fest, Europe, The Americas, and The Asia-Pacific Region. Each region will have its own challenge to unlock, by collectively completing a certain number of research tasks. You can see the rewards for doing so in the image below. They include Hatch bonuses, extra Raids, Candy and more. There’s also a bonus reward which will unlock on July 21 if all challenges are completed over the July 14 – 15 period.

Rewards will be steadily rolled out after the event finishes, over the period of July 16-23.

Pokemon GO Celebi – Shiny Celebi Day Event

The reward for players completing all of the challenges for the Dortmund event was an Articuno Day. Articuno Raids will take place on July 7, and players will have the chance to bag themselves a Shiny Articuno as well. Niantic has yet to officially reveal what the Bonus Reward for the Pokemon GO Fest Global Challenge will be, but it’s incredibly likely to be a Celebi Day Event. Rumors are that a special Pokemon GO Fest – centric Special Quest will unlock during the weekend, and will see Professor Willow enlisting the help of trainers worldwide to track down the mysterious Celebi. We’ll hear more closer to Pokemon GO Fest, so stay tuned for more details.

We now have confirmation that Celebi will appear as part of a Special Research Quest very soon. You can see all of the details by heading to a blog post on the Pokemon GO website

Pokemon GO Fest Shiny Plusle and Shiny Minun, Stardust Bonuses

It seems that Plusle and Minun are the mascots of Pokemon GO Fest, and will be popping up more frequently while it is going on. There will also be a chance to catch Shiny Minun and Shiny Plusle during the event. Catching these two pokemon will grant bonus Stardust, so it’ll definitely be worth your while to seek them out.

Pokemon GO Alolan Diglett and Alolan Geodude

The final bonus associated with Pokemon GO Fest is the release of Alolan Diglett and Geodude into the game. They join a huge roster of island-themed Kanto Pokemon, and will be available as rare encounters throughout the weekend. Judging by how previous Alolan Forms have been added into the game, Alolan Geodude and Alolan Diglett will likely stick around after the event, probably being added as Hatch rewards for 7K Eggs. Of course, a lot of the Pokemon featured in the Pokemon GO Fest habitats will also appear all over the world during the event.
