  • 3: Aaron Donald (99 OVR) – One of the best defensive players in the game, Donald isn’t that slow for an offensive lineman, with 83 speed. He also boasts 99 awareness, 90 acceleration, 97 strength, 93 tackling, and 88 block shed.
  • 4: Rob Gronkowski (99 OVR) – The best tight end by a country mile in Madden 19, Gronkowski features speed, agility, and acceleration statistics all in the mid 80s. He also has a 96 and 97 catch and catch in traffic rating respectively, so he’s a sure pair of hands.
  • 5: Luke Kuechly (99 OVR) – One of the highest rated linebackers in Madden 19, Kuechly is a beast on defence. 98 tackling and 93 hit power are major stats, and his zone coverage rating of 88 is a great addition too.
  • 6: Von Miller (99 OVR) – The Denver Broncos linebacker boasts 95 block shed and finesse move stats, while also having 94 tackling and 99 play recognition ratings.
  • 7: Aaron Rodgers (99 OVR) – Allegedly the second best QB in Madden 19, Rodgers has 97 throw power, 98 throw accuracy short, 94 throw accuracy mid, and 88 throw accuracy deep ratings, as well as a 96 play action rating.
  • 8: Julio Jones (98 OVR) – The second best receiver in Madden 19 belongs to the Atlanta Falcons. Jones has a supreme speed rating of 93, agility of 96, catch of 96 and catch in traffic stat of 98.
  • 9: Khalil Mack (98 OVR) – Mack patrols the middle section of the defence like a hawk, especially with his 95 awareness and 87 speed stats. He also has 92 in tackling, 86 in hit power, 93 in power moves, as well as 95 play recognition.
  • 10: J.J. Watt (98 OVR) – Coming off the edge is Watt, who had an injury-plagued year in 2017/18. With 93 block shed, 94 impact blocking, 93 tackling, and 97 play recognition, he’s one of the more solid defensive players in the game.

Madden 19 Best Team

But who is the single best team in Madden 19? Simply put, the best team going into every new Madden game is the previous Super Bowl winner, which means the best team as of right now in Madden 19 is the Philadelphia Eagles, with an overall team rating of 95.

Interestingly enough, only two of the Eagles’ top five players are at all skill positions, these being strong safety Malcolm Jenkins with a rating of 94, and left defensive end Brandon Graham with a rating of 93. Otherwise, right tackle Brandon Brooks at 93, defensive tackle Fletcher Cox at 93, and center Jason Kelce at 92 are the other top five players on the Eagles.

The aforementioned Brooks and Kelce, along with Jason Peters and Lane Johnson means the Eagles have one of the best offensive lines in Madden 19, critical for protection Carson Wentz. Speaking of, the star QB has plenty of weapons around him, with the 91-rated Zach Ertz at tight end, the 90-rated Alshon Jeffrey as his main receiver, and the solid Nelson Agholor coming in at 84 overall to round out the trio.

With the Philadelphia Eagles, there really isn’t anywhere you can go wrong. Obviously player ratings and team ratings can change with every passing week in the 2018/19 NFL season, but we shouldn’t see too much change from the Eagles this year, unless they suffer the dreaded Super Bowl hangover year.

This is the end of our Madden 19 guide to the best players and the best team available in the game right now, but there are plenty additional guides left to be read on the game. If you want a complete guide for everything you need to know about MUT, check out our Madden 19 Ultimate Team guide.
