Fallout 76 has finally been fully revealed. During Bethesda’s E3 2018 Press Conference, we were given a ton of new details about the game. We now know that it’s an online game, with a heavy emphasis on crafting and building. There will be dozens of other players in each server, which you can either fight or team up with. There’s also a brand new nuke feature, which allows players to fire nuclear missiles at a location of their choice. In this Fallout 76 Nuke Guide, we’ll break down everything we know so far about nukes in Fallout 76.

Fallout 76 Nukes – Nuclear Silos, Codes and How to Find Them
Fallout 76 has an all new nukes feature. It allows players to team up and search for codes in order to gain access to nuclear silos. Once inside, players can target any location on the map, which will create a new environment filled with valuable resources.
There will be multiple Nuclear Silos in each Fallout 76 server, each with its own code combination for players to find. Codes are made up of multiple parts, gained from looting downed enemies. It is possible for multiple players to split codes between them, in which case they will have to work together in order to access the silo.
All of this hard work is definitely worth it though, as you’ll gain access to a nuclear strike. This strike can be targeted anywhere on the map, so can be used to destroy other players’ camps, strong wildlife, or whatever else you want to blow up. Once the nuke hits, the bombed area becomes a new, irradiated environment. Rare resources can be looted from these areas, though powerful creatures will be guarding them.
It’s unclear whether or not your nuked bases will stay destroyed forever, or whether it will just set you back in terms of resources. We’ll likely hear more about Fallout 76 very soon, given that it is launching later this year.
That’s everything we know so far about nukes in Fallout 76. We’ll be updating this guide as we get more info so stay tuned for more on the game. You can check out how bases and camps work in Fallout 76 in our Fallout 76 Settlement Building Guide.
