FIFA 19 Platforms – Is FIFA 19 Coming to Nintendo Switch?

Given that previous games have released on PS4, Xbox One and PC, it’s a no-brainer that FIFA 19 will come to these platforms this time around. What we do know is that FIFA 19 will be coming to Nintendo Switch. Speaking in an interview with DreamTeam FC, Andrei Lazarescu, Supervising Producer for FIFA World Cup mode, stated that FIFA 19 will arrive to Nintendo’s console with vastly improved graphics – despite once again not running on Frostbite. Who is the FIFA 19 Cover Star

It looks like Ronaldo is the offical cover star of FIFA 19. EA released an image of him on the cover. This weekend’s EA Play 2018 revealed a ton of new details about the game. Head over to our EA E3 2018 Press Conference guide for more details.

Will The Champions League be in FIFA 19?

Konami recently lost its exclusive rights to use The Champions League in PES, meaning that it’s up for grabs. An official FIFA commentator appeared to let slip that both The Champions League and Europa League would be coming to FIFA 19. You can check out the video below, where he revealed that he has done voice-work for the new modes. This was all confirmed during EA’s E3 2018 Press Conference. There will be a separate UEFA Champions League Tournament Mode, and it will be the setting for this year’s The Journey single-player campaign. There will also be some Champions League Ultimate Team content as well.

This will be the first time The Champions League has been included in a FIFA game since 2007, when EA lost the rights to Konami.

FIFA 19 Campaign – Will The Journey Season Three be in FIFA 19

The Journey has become a real highlight of the last two FIFA games, telling a more narrative focused story centering around a young player named Alex Hunter. It’s great then that EA will continue the story in FIFA 19, and will include some elements from the Champions League FIFA 19 Mode. The Journey: Champions will see Alex Hunter pursue victory in the UEFA Champions League.

FIFA 18 let you play as Alex’s friend, Danny, for a period of time, so we expect the Journey in FIFA 19 will expand on this. Our guess is that you’ll get to play as a brand new character or help Danny out even more than before.

That’s everything we know so far about FIFA 19, stay tuned for further updates, as we will be adding to this guide as we learn more about the game. This will likely be during EA Play 2018, which runs from June 9-11. In the meantime you can head over to our FIFA 18 guides hub, which pulls together details on Ultimate Team, the new World Cup Update and more.
