Right at the end of 2018, Capcom revealed that there would be a crossover event between The Witcher’s Geralt of Rivia, and Monster Hunter: World. We now know the release date for this crossover event, on consoles at least: February 8.
Just below, you can see the announcement of the release date from the official Monster Hunter Twitter account. Geralt will be available as an outfit for your Monster Hunter: World character, similar to how past guest characters like Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn worked.
But Capcom has also reassured fans in the comments below the announcement tweet that Geralt will also be arriving on the PC version of Monster Hunter: World. Although there’s no set date for this as of right now, we’ll be reporting on any PC-related news for Geralt of Rivia in the future.
The content for Monster Hunter: World in 2019 doesn’t end with Geralt of Rivia, however. There’s the massive Iceborne expansion for the game set to arrive in fall 2019. Although we don’t actually know exactly when this DLC is set to release, it’s going to introduce new areas and monsters alike to the core game.
